High Point Schools Partnership: Where Community Meets Education

Every student deserves the chance to succeed and reach their potential. HPSP exists to make sure our schools don’t have to do it alone. We mobilize our community to support educators and expand opportunities for students.

We believe

Great COMMUNITIES

have Great SCHOOLS

Mission: High Point Schools Partnership creates impactful connections between Guilford County Schools (GCS) and the High Point community to ensure that our students and their families are supported and can reach their full potential

High Point Schools Partnership (HPSP) was launched in 2019 when community leaders, led by Business High Point and the High Point Community Foundation, came together to explore ways to promote, strengthen, and advocate for public schools in High Point.

Today, HPSP is an independent initiative rooted in the belief that Great Communities Have Great Schools. Our partners include business and community leaders, elected officials, philanthropists, educators, parents, grandparents, and others who understand that strong public schools are essential to a thriving city.

We work to build meaningful connections between Guilford County Schools (GCS) in High Point and the broader community, celebrate the excellence of local students and educators, and advocate for the full funding and support our schools deserve.

How we accomplish our mission

4 Key Areas of Focus

We’re committed to supporting Guilford County Schools (GCS) and enhancing student experiences in these 4 ways:
1. CONNECT

We’re all about creating meaningful connections between our community and education providers in High Point. Through our partnerships and programs, we unite local businesses and organizations, building a reliable network of support for our students

2. CELEBRATE

Celebrating the achievements of GCS students and educators is at the heart of our mission. By recognizing the work they do, we believe it’s possible to inspire others in the community to strive for excellence and take pride in what our schools accomplish.

3. CHAMPION

We proudly support the recruitment, retention, and recognition of exceptional GCS teachers and administrators. By championing these educators, we ensure that students benefit from passionate, committed mentors who help guide their future.

4. COLLABORATE

We advocate for fully funding our schools, so that every student has access to the resources they need. By joining forces as a community and prioritizing education, we build a strong foundation for our children’s education and future.
